Reggae Movement was launched July 2,
2001 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado
The Reggae Movement is an organization dedicated to the spread
and cultivation of Reggae Music throughout the Rocky Mountain region
and beyond. Through a fan's heart and a fan's view, we seek to
cultivate the reggae culture throughout the world. One
World, One People, One Movement
While
sitting at a reggae show at the Boathouse in Denver early in the year 2001, Eric
and Larry came up with the idea for The Reggae Movement. They discussed as
there wasn't enough reggae to be seen, and that someone should do more to
promote reggae in Colorado so that it could foster a reggae culture and promote
reggae to the level that it truly needs to be appreciated throughout the world.
With no
more motivation than an extreme passion for reggae music, they set out with
their idea to help bring reggae music to the people. Using a fan's view,
and fan's heart, they hope to make reggae music Colorado's music, as well as the
world's music.
It has
been quite a trip since the two of them drove up to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to see the
I-Vibes Show at
Levelz Nightclub on July 3, 2001. Standing outside of the concert, handing
out fliers for a new concept and website, The Reggae Movement has seen
exponential growth since, with support from everyone in every aspect of the
music. Thanks to everyone for your support.
