Easy Star All-Stars Rock Albuquerque

Aug 23, 2005, Albuquerque - Easy Star Allstars were incredible last night!

Featuring a 8 piece reggae band based out NY. The band was pieced together featuring Junior Jazz(who often tours with Sister Carol), A horn section with a female Sax player, I can not remember her name, but do know that she toured with Burning Spear in the late 80's and when Spear had an all female horn section. She is featured as the solo sax player on nearly all of Spear's Live album's, including Live in Paris. They played 2 sets. The first Set was all original's ranging from Dub, Roots Reggae to a little bit of Studio One.

The second Set featured the entire album Dub Side of the Moon, a remastering of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, which is their most recent album. While most of the original artists that were not on the album were present, The Vibe and Sound was nearly matching that of the album. The Sound effects that you hear on Pink Floyd's album perfectly flowed through that reggae dub vibe.
