I would have to say the best part of the show for me was when Israel Vibration brought Luciano and Tanto Metro and Devante on stage to assist in singing SAME SONG. It was great to see 3 separate forms of reggae (Tanto Metro and Devante of Dancehall, Luciano of today's roots and new generation, and of course Israel Vibration) all singing together the "we all gonna sing the same song" anthem of peace, love and togetherness. I was touched by that scene.
Watching Stone Love mix the songs together was quite a treat. He really is as good as advertised.
Toots was
a enormous letdown to me....after the Roots Radics and I-vibes really put
together a great set following a great set by Luciano, anticipation for Toots
set was huge...I could sense the excitement in myself, and you could sense it in
the crowd. When he threw his temper tantrum and tossed his vest at the
drum set, it was that pretty of a scene. Somehow toots held onto the
crowd, and still finished out with a frenzy, but his lack of professionalism was
hardly unnoticeable. On the one hand, the man's been playing music for over 30 years, so he should know exactly how it should sound..on the other hand, i feel there should be more tact in his reactions.
