  Preacherman - May 18th - Supreme Court

If you haven't been to the Supreme Court on Saturday nights lately, you have been missing out on some really good local reggae. This past weekend, Preacherman with Jah Family band held the stage and played a couple of sets of high energy Roots Reggae. The last time I saw Preacherman was when he was performing at the top of the stairs at Reggae on the Rocks. Yeah, he was the guy jumping, dancing and chanting in the hot sun for hours. A man in his 50’s shouldn’t have this much energy. It must be his love of reggae that keeps him hopping.

Preacherman was backed by Boulder-based Jah Family band. A 4-piece band, Jah Family sounded polished as they pounded out some tough roots rhythms. They played a very good selection and kept people moving on the dance floor the entire night. For a $3 cover, you can’t beat it. A very good performance all around.

Jah Family will be opening up for Gregory Isaacs at the Fox Theater on 5/22 so catch them there and see for yourself.
