Sugar Minott to Play Boulder on Oct
30th
Action packed tour to include Jus Goodie, Pashon
and more....
Fresh
off the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in California, Sugar Minott brings a
style he created in the early days of Jamaica's dancehalls in the 70s and 80s,
where he defined sound system performance and elevated singing and deejaying to
unseen heights with his record label Black Roots and his sound crew Youthman
Promotion.
Sugar's crew offered more lyrical variety and talent then virtually any other
sound system then or since, bringing up reggae vocalist standards like Tenor
Saw, Nitty Gritty, Junior Reid, Frankie Paul, Michael Palmer, Half Pint and
Little John, and Sugar Minott himself.
One of Jamaica's
favorite sons, Sugar Minott continues to produce hit records, including the 2002
INDIE winner for Best Reggae
Album, "Rare Gems." Wherever he performs, Sugar plays to a strong base of loyal
fans, whether it be in the clubs of London, the dancehalls of
Kingston
or nightclubs of New York City. Joining him on tour will be another bright,
upcoming artist, Jus Goodie, who can sing and DJ with such versatility that
audiences watch in awe. Jus goodie will be promoting his new album - "Freedom
Song." Goodie, based in Boulder, CO also incorporated traditional Hebrew
melodies set to a roots reggae, hip-hop and dancehall fusion. Goodie, in his

the stage with many top artists. Itawe, also known as "Danny Gitz" was born and
