| The Reggae Movement is an organization dedicated to the spread and cultivation of Reggae Music throughout the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Through a fan's heart and a fan's view, we seek to cultivate the reggae culture throughout the world. One World, One People, One Movement ReggaeMovement.com was launched by Eric Hovey and Larry Leiber in July of 2001. The idea of The Reggae Movement came up while sitting at a reggae show at the Boathouse in Denver early in the year 2001.. As they discussed there wasn't enough reggae to be seen, and not enough exposure of current reggae, they came to the conclusion that someone should do more to promote reggae so that it could foster growth to the level that it truly needs to be appreciated throughout the world. “Everyone loves reggae music,” Larry would often be heard to say, “it’s just that some people don’t know it yet.” With no more motivation than an extreme passion for reggae music, they set out with their idea to help bring reggae music to the people. Using a fan's point of view, they hope to make reggae music Colorado's music, as well as the world's music.
