Denver, Co 9/1/10 - Remember the songs that used to make you Rockaway?  Those were the days…..to feel good, dancing to a reggae song.  As Beres Hammond headlined the “For the Love of It” tour in Denver this past Wednesday night, he, along with Lenya Wilks, Culture and Inner Circle transformed the packed house into a reggae heaven. 

Wondrous rhythms, legendary songs, and a loving and grateful crowd in attendance helped to breed the rare condition of Reggaemylitis throughout the packed Cervantes’ Ballroom.  Symptoms of Reggaemylitis were clearly seen:    unprovoked dancing, permanent smiles and a genuine feeling of pleasure.

Although the Easy Star All Stars do indeed have their own original music, they have earned their reputation and immense popularity by essentially playing other people’s music.  And they do it very, very well.  By choosing a wide diverse and dynamic selection of music to interpret through the offbeat of reggae and dub, the Easy Star All Stars deliver an intelligent and immensely talented performance that pleases the musical taste of nearly every fan.
